Grero, or Grechetto Rosso, is an Italian red grape variety that is primarily grown in the Umbria region of Italy. Grechetto Rosso is a lesser-known grape variety used to produce red wine with medium to high alcohol content and good body. The wines made from Grechetto Rosso often have a mix of fruity and spicy notes, including cherries, pepper, herbs and dried fruits. They also have a good balance between acidity and tannins, giving them good complexity and a soft, rounded finish. The Grechetto Rosso wines are suitable for pairing with a wide range of meat dishes, including lamb, beef and game.
