Collection: Nebbiolo d'Alba

Nebbiolo d'Alba is a DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) classification for red wine made in the areas around Alba in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. To obtain Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC status, the wine must meet a number of requirements, including:

• Grapes: The wine must be made from at least 85% Nebbiolo grapes. The rest can consist of other local grapes.

• Vinification: There are a number of rules surrounding wine production, such as storage time, fermentation, maturation and barrel size, that must be observed.

• Geography: The vineyards that produce Nebbiolo d'Alba must be located in the Alba area.

• Alcohol percentage: The wine must have a minimum alcohol percentage of 12%.

• Colour: The wine must have a deep, dark red colour.

• Taste and aroma: The wine should have a complex taste and aroma, with notes of roses, raspberries, wild cherries and tobacco.
