Collection: Peri Bigogno
In 1946 Graziella and Adriano Peri moved to Castenedolo and bought Palazzo Togni. The vineyards that already surrounded the castle and the historic cellar under the castle convinced Adriano that he should continue the tradition of viticulture and wine production.
The son Mario, and his wife Maria Bigogno, took over the winery, and they showed a great passion for the vineyard and the production.
Starting from the 1980 harvest, they used part of the white grapes to produce the first sparkling wine according to the Champagne method, and this paved the way for the excellent sparkling wines that would become known as Talento 30 years later.
In 2008, Mario's son, Andrea, started an internationalization of Peri Bigogno, and today their wines are available on three continents.
In 2012, they inaugurated a new modern winery, and together with his wife Francesca, Andrea now runs the winery as the third generation.
Talento - Italian Spumante
Since 2004, Talento has been the designation for "the Italian sparkling wine made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, fermented in the bottle, for a minimum of 15 months, on yeast and sugar of less than 12 g/litre".
Talento is today officially recognized and protected by Italian law and it is registered as a trademark. Talento is used all over Italy and over 20 million bottles are produced annually.
Peri Bigogno makes fantastic Talento wines, which can easily compete with Champagne in both quality and taste.
