Peter Dipoli started as a wine farmer in 1987, when the Dipoli family bought 1.2 hectares of vineyards in Penon, a small village near the village of Cortaccia in Südtirol (Alto Adige). The vineyard was completely replanted with Sauvignon Blanc and in 1990 the first 1637 bottles of Voglar were produced. In the following years, the winery was expanded by buying new fields and leasing others. This is how the field Iugum, in the nearby village of Magré, became part of the property. Today, Dipoli has a small 5 hectare vineyard.
In the beginning, the grapes were vinified at a friend's vineyard, until in 1998 Dipoli bought an old agricultural property in the village of Egna, which he restored and which today is Dipoli's winery.
