Collection: Volnay

Volnay is one of the most famous and recognized towns for Pinot Noir in the Burgundy region of France. Volnay produces one of the most elegant and delicate Pinot Noirs in Burgundy.

To obtain the "Volnay" classification, the following requirements must be met:

• Soil: The vines must be grown on the traditional calcareous soils that are typical of the area.

• Grape variety: The vines must be planted with Pinot Noir grapes.

• Vinification: The wines must be produced using traditional methods in the area.

• Aging: The wines must mature for at least 12 months, of which at least 6 months must be in oak barrels.

• Alcohol content: The alcohol content must be between 12% and 13.5%.

• Taste: The wines must have a balance between fruit, tannins and acid, with a good complexity and depth of taste.

• Aromas: The wines must have aromas of red berries, cherries and smoked oak, as well as a complex and rich taste.

• Colour: The wines must have a deep red colour.

These requirements must be met in order to obtain the "Volnay" classification and ensure a uniform quality of the wines.
