Collection: Cantine dell'Angelo
The region of Campania is located in southern Italy. Campania is known for its rich history, culture and beautiful landscapes, including the famous Amalfi Coast. Here we also find the province of Avellino, which is located east of Naples. The area is characterized by mountainous terrain and lush vineyards, making it ideal for wine production, especially for renowned wines such as Greco di Tufo, Taurasi and Fiano. The oldest vine in the Avellino area is undoubtedly Greco di Tufo, a wine with roots in Greek history.
In the heart of the Avellino province, surrounded by vineyards, is Cantina Dell'Angelo.
who produce fantastic Greco di Tufo wines on their property in the municipality of Tufo. The vineyards are located on hilly terrain overlooking old sulfur mines, which gives the wine its distinctive characteristics.
Angelo Muto is the third generation in the farm's wine production. With just 5 hectares of vineyards, the winery manages to create, in our opinion, some of the most original and personal Greco di Tufo wines in the region.
The vineyards lie directly above part of the old sulfur mines where up to 900 people worked in the 19th century.
Angelo's farming is gentle, with great attention to the health of the soil, which is already very rich in sulphur.
Vinification is done exclusively on steel and only with gentle pressing, to create a completely "pure" wine with the unique characteristics that reflect the area and its rich wine traditions.
Total production for the winery is approx. 20,000 bottles annually.
Total production: 20,000
