Collection: La Briccolina di Tiziano Grasso

Small producer from Serralunga d'Alba.

The family has 5.5 ha, including 4 ha with Nebbiolo.

The 4 ha are all located on the Briccolina field, which is a 15 ha hill in Serralunga. The family has sold grapes to Pio Cesare for 50 years, but the young son of the house persuaded the father that they should now make some wine themselves on this fine field.

Vintage 2012 is thus the first vintage from La Briccolina. The wine, Barolo DOCG 2012 is from the 0.5 ha of the field, which is the oldest and highest located. The canes are 50 years old. The first year's production is 3,000 bottles.

Unfortunately, Tiziano Grasso was killed in a work accident on the farm just after they had released the first Barolo vintage.

It is thus the son Daniele who is in charge of things now.

The production is organic without certification.
