Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Damodes" 2018

The plot that produces grapes for "Les Damodes" is located north of Nuits-Saint-Georges next to Vosne-Romanée. The plot has an area of ​​0.11 ha and the vines are 120 years old.

The grapes are picked by hand at optimum ripeness and sorted and de-stemmed and placed in barrels to ferment for 20 to 25 days. The wine matures for 18 to 24 months in 50% new barrels, after which it is bottled without filtration.

The color is dark and dense ruby ​​red and in the nose you sense black berries with notes of graphite and roasting and a slight chalkiness in the background. In the mouth, the wine has a remarkable complexity and structure, beautifully integrated with good acidity and a touch of minerals.
