Casanova di Neri Rosso di Toscana IGT IrRosso 2022

IrRosso is under the relatively new Sant'Antimo appellation, which is open to the use of other grape varieties besides sangiovese. In the 2022 vintage, 15% cabernet sauvignon is mixed.

The Sangiovese grapes come from Casanova di Neri's fantastic Cetine field, which is also used for the renowned Brunello Tenuta Nuovo.

Harvested at the beginning of September 2022.

Manual selection of the grapes first and after de-stemming then with an optical selector.

Spontaneous fermentation without the use of added yeast. Everything takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature per 13 days.

The wine is then aged for 15 months in oak barrels.

The taste is deep and well-balanced, clothed in fine and soft tannins.
