Riecine Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Gittori DOCG 2020

When you enter the Gittori vineyard and look around, it is logical to think that these vines and this land can only produce excellent wine!

Gran Selezione is the result of this observation. The Sangiovese grapes from Gittori combine strength and depth of flavor thanks to tannins that are always fine and dynamic and combined with a wonderful aroma that stands out beautifully in the winery.
In 2019, after many years of managing the Gittori vineyard, Riecine became its owner and the idea of ​​dedicating part of this parcel to a Gran Selezione took shape, thanks to a vintage that proved to be perfect in every way.

The grapes are carefully selected in both the vineyard and the winery before they are destemmed and fermented in cement. After 25 days of maceration, the wine is transferred to 500-litre oak barrels that are over four years old. Here the wine rests for 24 months before it is bottled.
Vigna Gittori then matures for a further six months in bottle before being released.
