Castro Ventosa Valtuille La Vitoriana 2019

Castro Ventosa Valtuille La Vitoriana is a single-field wine from the field La Vitoriana.

La Vitoriana is one of the most emblematic vineyards in Valtuille, whose 4 hectares are distributed among only 5 owners.

The vineyards, with vines over 120 years old, are probably the oldest in Valtuille.

The field located at the foot of the archaeological site of Castro de la Ventosa is one of the best hidden in Valtuille.

The grapes are harvested manually in the first harvest days each year. On arrival at the vineyard, the whole grapes are deposited in a 3,000 liter foudre (wooden barrel). The fermentation takes place naturally without the addition of yeast and without temperature control. After 60 days of maceration without the use of pumps, the wine matures in used barrels for one year.
