Il Molino di Grace Gratius IGT 2013

Fantastic single field wine.

The wine is not, in the same way as Gran Selezione, a big and full-bodied wine.

This one is more elegant, and definitely not violent. Very delicate and very durable.

12 months in barrique and tonneaux (225 liters and 500 liters).

The wine is almost 100% Sangiovese, but there is a small part, less than 10%, Cannaiolo and Colorino. This is because the field was originally planted to Chianti, and these typical grapes have always been part of Chianti.

The wine could easily be called Chianti Classico DOCG, but it has always been called Gratius IGT, and it will continue to be so.

The field is old, approx. 70 years, and the benefit is approx. 20 hl/ha.

This vintage, only 1,300 bottles were produced.
