Mastrojanni Botry's Moscadello di Montalcino 2015

Botry's Moscadello Di Montalcino is Mastrojanni's passito. It is made from a blend of Moscato, Malvasia di Candia and Sauvignon Blanc. The passito matures for 24 months in barriques, followed by 12 months in the bottle in the house's cellar.

In the glass, Botrys appears with a nice deep and clear golden colour. The scent has notes of light nutmeg and apricot jam with a sweet honey finish. The taste is fruit syrup and candied fruits such as peach over apricot to fig. Botrys goes well with pâté, cakes and fresh cheeses.

Best served in a white wine glass, tempered 12-14 degrees.

Will if possible get even better over the years.

This is a very small production of 1300 bottles (375ml).
