Reimitz Sangiovese Rosso Toscana IGT 2014 1.5L
Reimitz Sangiovese Rosso Toscana IGT 2014 1.5L
Here is a school example of what an elegant Sangiovese should be like.
Good power, very rich and many nuances.
2014 was a difficult year for many. Not for Klaus Reimitz. This wine is not at all dark in fruit like many others.
On the contrary, it is very elegant and makes you think of great Pinot Noir.
Perfect balance and sweet tannins.
27 months in 15 hl cask.
After 25 years in the cellar with the masters Gulio Gambelli and Sergio Manetti, where together they have been behind the cult wine Le Pergole Torte, Klaus Reimizt has thrown himself into his very own project with a top Sangiovese wine.
Since 2010, he has been working on a 1 ha field facing south-east at an altitude of 400 meters in Badia a Passignano in western Chianti Classico to make the ultimate Sangiovese for him. Great field on Galestro (shale)
The field's name is Boronzky, named after Klaus Reimitz's great-grandmother Tamaro von Bronzky. The canes were planted in 1992.
