Castro Ventosa Valtuille Vino de Villa 2019

This wine is a blend of grapes from different vineyards in the village, fermented separately, all old vines, and with a Mencía-based blend that also includes some Garnacha Tintorera, Tousseau (Bastardo) and even white varieties. It is fermented with 100% full bunches in 5,000-liter oak casks and matured in 225- and 500-liter oak barrels for one year. The wine is serious, subtle, perfumed, refined and expressive with great finesse. It has a medium body with fantastic balance and great freshness (some of the early harvested parcels were part of the blend), purity and finesse, showing the year's style at its finest. The tannins are very fine and silky.
