Domaine Alexandre Bonnet Champagne 7 Cépages 2018
Domaine Alexandre Bonnet Champagne 7 Cépages 2018
From Domaine Alexandre Bonnet in the Champagne area of Les Riceys, you get here a unique single-field champagne from the La Géande field, made from all seven grapes allowed in Champagne: pinot noir, pinot gris, pinot blanc, meunier, chardonnay, arbane and petit meslier.
Typically, champagne producers use the three primary grape varieties in the Champagne region, namely pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier. But with "7 Cépages", Alexandre Bonnet has included additional grape varieties to create a more complex and completely unique flavor profile. The production of the wine is true to the grapes and the soil in the area and is produced with minimal processing.
The champagne is fresh, fruity and incredibly sweet despite its 'brut nature' status. The champagne is nicely balanced, and offers both an elegant dryness and a fresh and fruity flavor profile.
The grapes are harvested on the field La Géande, which is planted with all 7 Champagne grape varieties. All the grapes represent an equal proportion of the blend. The production of this unique single-field wine is very limited.
The scent is refined and full of fruit, both fresh and candied with a touch of citrus. Notes of white flowers and hints of sweet spices.
The taste is sumptuous. Lots of power and freshness. Lively, but at the same time extremely elegant. Perfect acid balance and a nice long finish.
Champagne with a long life, which is extremely drinkable when young, but which can also easily be stored for up to 20 years.
Dosage zero - no sugar added.
Perfect for tuna tartare, sushi or other delicious fish dishes.
